Super Summer Technology Institute
I like to think of the working name for the summer technology workshop as the The Human Network - Web 2.0. It is by our nature we need to communicate. It is the very substance of our profession. Technology has been somewhat limited in scope in this capacity - after all an e-mail is only an e-mail. Enhance that technology though - add voice, animation, live experience, the arts and sciences - all wound together with what we teach, what it is important to know at any given time. Everyone has a voice with technology - the expert, the teacher, and the learner. Learning is the most important part of our humanness. It is the learner who becomes the teacher, who becomes the expert, who becomes the learner again. We must never stop learning, rather open new doors and windows to each other and the world within us and around us. This is the marvel of Web 2.0, the sharing beyond a backyard fence or a classroom door.
